Franca - Bonn 70-69 Sesi Franca earned 2023 FIBA Intercontinental Cup title. They narrowly defeated Bonn in the Final in Singapore tonight. Lucas Silva (208-C-1995) sank a jumper at the buzzer to win the game for the Brazilian powerhouse. Franca recorded an 18-13 lead after ten minutes. Bonn sank 21 points in the second frame to tie things up at 34. Franca went on a 24-16 run in the third period to regain the advantage. But Bonn found the way back into the contest erasing the deficit and taking a narrow lead late in regulation. But Lucas Silva came up with a decisive bucket to seal the victory for Franca. Marcio Santos (204-F/C-2002) finished with 15 points, while Lucas Silva accounted for 14 points for the champions. Glynn Watson Jr. (183-PG-1997, college: Nebraska) answered with 16 points, while Harald Frey (188-PG-1997, college: Montana St.) tossed in 11 points for Bonn. |
