Unicaja go back-to-back with Intercontinental Cup title in Singapore-Sep 21, 2025
Unicaja Malaga repeated as FIBA Intercontinental Cup champions on Sunday, rallying past NBA G League United 71–61 in the final. Killian Tillie (208-F-1998, college: Gonzaga) scored 14 points and Tyler Kalinoski (193-SG-1992, college: Davidson) added 12 as the Spanish club defended the crown they won in 2024.
NBA G League United looked in control early, racing out to a 21–11 lead after the opening quarter. But Unicaja steadied in the second, cutting the deficit to 36–33 by halftime.
The decisive stretch came after the break. The Spaniards ripped off a 23–5 run in the third period, turning a three-point hole into a 15-point cushion. United pushed back in the fourth but never got closer than single digits.
Jaden Shackelford (190-G-2001, college: Alabama) paced the North American squad with 17 points, while Feron Hunt (203-F-1999, college: SMU) finished with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Still, United’s late push fell short as Unicaja sealed a second straight Intercontinental Cup title.
