Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.
First defeat of league's leader Landes (6-1) against twelfth ranked Toulouse (1-6) 61-60 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Landes. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Dominican guard Dominique Toussaint (175-1998, college: Virginia) who helped to win the game recording 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists (made all of her seven free throws). American-Montenegrin forward Taya Reimer (193-1995, college: Michigan St.) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Nigerian center Murjanatu Musa (188-2000) answered with 9 points and 13 rebounds for Landes. Landes' coach Julie Barennes rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Toulouse left bottom position moving up to eleventh place, which they share with La Tronche. Defending champion Landes still keeps top position with one game lost. They were joined at the leadership position by BLMA who have the same record. Landes will play next round against Lyon trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Toulouse will try to continue on its current victory against first ranked BLMA in Montpellier.
The game in Lyon was also worth to mention about. 6th ranked Landerneau (3-4) played at the court of eighth ranked Lyon (4-3). Lyon defeated Landerneau 58-42. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Landerneau. Landerneau will play at home against Chartres (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
A very close game took place in La Tronche between Charnay and La Tronche. Sixth ranked Charnay (4-3) got a very close victory on the road over 11th ranked La Tronche (1-6).
