American Guard Sarah Ericson (170-G-2003) had a very impressive game in the last round for UBC Muenster, receiving a Hoops Agents 2.Bundesliga Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 23-year old player had a double-double of 40 points and 20 rebounds, while her team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team SCALA Hamburg (#12, 0-5) with 40-point margin 95-55. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings in North. Muenster maintains the 11th position in their group in the German 2.Bundesliga. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 4 games and recorded just one victory. In the team's last game Ericson had a remarkable 55.6% from 2-point range and got eight three-pointers out of 14 attempts. She turned to be Muenster's top player in her first season with the team. Former University of Vermont star has very solid stats this year. Ericson is in league's top in points (8th best: 19.4ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 12.2rpg) and averages impressive 2.4spg.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Tonisha Baker (173-SG-1990) of Bender Baskets Grunberg. Baker had a very good evening with a double-double of 22 points and 11 rebounds. It was enough for Gruenberg to edge Stuttgart MTV (#13, 0-5) 92-89. This victory allowed Gruenberg to move up to 4th position in South. Her team's 3-2 record is not bad at all. Baker is one of the most experienced players at Gruenberg and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American swingman Jada Smith (175-G/F-1997) of USV VIMODROM Baskets Jena (#11). Smith got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. She went also for eleven rebounds and four assists. She was a key player of Jena, leading her team to a 82-76 win against Rhein-Main (#12, 0-5). Jena can only dream about fighting for top spots in South. They have rather bad season and 1-4 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Smith has individually a great season in Germany. After only 4 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 25.8ppg (best scorer).
