FALCO KC won the championship first time in club's history
Kormend could not stop Falco KC in the own arena, so the yellow-blacks got the
first title of club's history.
It was a tied game for 35 minutes, and the home team could not use the chances
to tie the series: Bam Doyne got closed out in the 25. minute, Ciric had 4 fouls
already after the first half, Kazlauskas got a technical, but Falco had a big
man, who was unstoppable thursday night! Aliakseyeu played his best game in
Hungary ever, scored 31 points and 18 rebounds!
This
weekend wasn't ordinary in the routine of the season. On the 1st of
March, the male and female All-Star Game was organised by the Hungarian
Federation. As venue for the event Pecs was chosen. The was a selection,
based on the supporters' votes, of women and men players forming the
League All Star Team. They had to faced against the National Team on the
court.
The National Team was conducted by Stojan Ivkovic, who was elected for
the head-coach of the National Team a few weeks ago as well. Laszlo
Kalman could not be on the court because of his injury, he was replaced
by his teammate
Kornel Varadi (198-G-87, agency:
Laszlo Vinko Services). Even Robert Gulyas missed the game, he got
hurt on thursday in the cup game against Kecskemet.
The game ended with the winning of the National Team 110-92 (32-22,
23-23, 24-20, 31-27).
