League status
The Bonus League is the first-tier professional basketball league in Iceland. Bonus League was established in 1952.
The Bonus League sits above the Division I which effectively forms the second-tier of Icelandic basketball.
At the end of regular season, top 8 teams qualify to the play-offs.
The bottom 2 teams are relegated to Division I.
Limits of non-Icelandic players per team: 1 import players (non-Europeans), 10 Bosman players (with European passport) . Total number of allowed imports and Bosmans is .
