Keflavik - Tindastoll 88-58

The game was mostly controlled by Keflavik. Tindastoll was better in second period 21-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Keflavik dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Tindastoll's 26. Keflavik players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Tindastoll's players. Worth to mention a quality performance of American swingman Jasmine Dickey (175-2000, college: Delaware, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 16 rebounds. The former international forward Sara Hinriksdottir (185-1996, college: Canisius) helped adding 14 points and 9 rebounds. Keflavik's coach Fridrik Runarsson felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Polish forward Edyta Falenczyk (180-1993, agency: DC Sports) with 9 points and 14 rebounds and American-Syrian guard Randi Brown (173-1996, college: New Orleans) scored 14 points.

Haukar - Grindavik 76-73

The hosts trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 35-28 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Haukar made 16-of-17 free shots (94.1 percent) during the game. Haukar had a 36-23 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for Belgian forward Lore Devos (185-1999, college: Colorado St., agency: LBM Management) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 19 rebounds and 5 assists. International forward Thora Jonsdottir (173-1997) contributed with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five Haukar players scored in double figures. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 29-18. But Stjarnan won second period 29-23. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Stjarnan 43-26 including a 32-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Njardvik shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a great evening for Cambodian point guard Brittany Dinkins (170-1994) who led her team to a victory scoring 35 points (!!!) and 4 assists. Danish power forward Emilie Hesseldal (185-1990, college: Colorado St.) helped adding 13 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists. The best for the losing side was international guard Dilja Larusdottir (172-2003) with 25 points and 5 steals and American forward Denia Davis-Stewart (185-1998, college: Merrimack) scored 9 points and 11 rebounds. Four Stjarnan players scored in double figures.
