Defending champion KB Trepca Mitrovice (Superliga) has signed 24-year-old American guard Andrew Thelwell, who also holds a Jamaican passport and stands at 190cm. Thelwell, who played college basketball at Iowa, joins the team from H. Holon in the Israeli Winner League, where he recorded 3 points and 1 steal in one game. Last season, he played for Pau Lacq Orthez in the French ProB league. Thelwell has been a regular member of the Jamaican Senior National Team since 2025.
Thelwell was named to the OVC All-Tournament Team in 2024 during his college career.
Thelwell graduated from the University of Iowa in 2025 and is in his second season in pro basketball. He also played for Morehead State University for 4 years.
