Best players of Israeli National League round 1 (by Hoops Agents)

Experienced American Amin Stevens (203-F-1990) had an amazing evening in the last round for Ironi Nahariya and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents National League Player of the Week award for round 1.
The 36-year old forward had the game-high 29 points adding four rebounds for I.Nahariya in his team's victory, helping them to crush, the league's bottom-ranked team H.Migdal (#12, 0-1) with 20-point margin 89-69. I.Nahariya is placed at 4th position in Israeli National League. But it's just the very beginning of the season and I.Nahariya won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. Stevens turned to be I.Nahariya's top player in his first season with the team. Florida A&M University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Stevens is league's best scorer averaging so far 29.0ppg. Stevens is in league's top in and averages solid 75.0% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American guard Austin Tilghman (185-G-1995, agency: Octagon Europe) of league's best team Elitzur Ashkelon. Tilghman impressed basketball fans with 24 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Of course he led Ashkelon to another comfortable win outscoring M.Kiryat Gat (0-1) 88-68. His team has extremely good start of the season. They won their first game. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Tilghman is a newcomer at Ashkelon and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 24.0ppg (#4). His other stats are also decent: 5.0rpg and 6.0apg.

The third best performed player last round was American Derrick Walker (206-F-1997, agency: Diamond Sports) of Maccabi Kiryat Gat (#13). Walker scored 21 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Despite Walker's great performance the M.Kiryat Gat lost 68-88 to Ashkelon (#1, 1-0). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The season just started for Walker as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.
