For the first time in history, a Sicilian team won the Italian Cup, and the victory assigned one of two Italian spots for next Euroleague.
Ribera won the title by his proverbial organization, while Faenza struggled a little bit at his third game in three days.
With two seconds left to play and Faenza down by 2, Ballardini missed a drive to the basket; Hoffman grabbed the rebound and was fouled: 1/2 from free throw line and the Italian Cup took the road to Sicily.
