Brescia tabs rookie Aicha Ndour in her first year in pro basketball

Brixia Basket Brescia (Serie A1) signed 25-year-old Senegalese e198cm center Aicha Ndour for the upcoming season. She is the second foreign player on the team, with Slovakian Sona Svetlikova already on the roster. Ndour recently graduated from Georgia (NCAA), but only averaged 1.9ppg and 1.8rpg in 26 games last season.
She began her college career at Rutgers University (NCAA) before transferring to Northwest Florida State College (JUCO). Ndour spent her high school career at Cushing Academy in Ashburnham, MA.
As mentioned above, she is just out of college and it will be her first full season in professional basketball.
Ndour also represented Senegal at the WBI Championship Champion two years ago. She played for other colleges such as Wichita State University, University of Illinois, Rutgers University, and Northwest Florida State College.
