Serie A2 newcomer Mercede Basket Alghero strengthened their roster with addition of 25-year old North Macedonian international 170cm point guard Tijana Mitreva for season 2026-27. She is not a newcomer in Italian League as she played most recently at A.D. Basket Alcamo. In 26 Serie A2 games in Italy she recorded 4.4ppg and 2.7rpg last season.
For two previous seasons (2023-25) she played at another Italian team Akronos Moncalieri.
She has played previously also in North Macedonia (Kozuvchanka) and Italy (Sassari and Roseto).
Among many awards she was voted to Eurobasket.com All-European Championship (FIBA EuroBasket) U16 Division B Honorable Mention back in 2017.
