Best players of Italian Serie A2 round 1 (by Hoops Agents)

Polish Emilia Kosla (178-G -2001) had an amazing evening in the last round for Napoli Women Basketball and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Serie A2 Player of the Week award for round 1.
The 25-year old had a double-double of 24 points and 12 rebounds, while her team edged out Umbertide (#11, 0-1), the league's bottom-ranked team 73-70. Napoli is placed at 3rd position in Italian Serie A2. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Napoli won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. Kosla turned to be Napoli's top player in her first season with the team. Kosla has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (2nd best: 24.0ppg), rebounds (4th best: 12.0rpg) and averages solid 6.0spg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young international guard Antonia Peresson (176-G-1995) of league's best team Ecodem Alpo Basket 99. Peresson impressed basketball fans with 25 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Of course she led Alpo to another comfortable win outscoring Bolzano BC (0-1) 89-61. Her team has extremely good start of the season. They won their first game. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Peresson is well-known by Alpo fans and she already established her position as one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 25.0ppg (#1). Her other stats are also decent: 8.0rpg and 8.0apg.

The third best performed player last round was DR Congolese Lydie Katshitshi (186-C-1998) of Futurosa Trieste (#5). Katshitshi scored 21 points and grabbed 16 rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of Trieste, leading her team to a 63-62 win against Cagliari Virtus (#9, 0-1). Trieste has a very good start of the season. But there was just one game played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Katshitshi also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. The season just started for Katshitshi as she played only first game. But it already looks like she can be team's leader.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
