Dron's 24 points and 6 assists give him Hoops Agents Serie B Nazionale Player of the Week award

24-year old Moldovan point guard Gabriel Dron (176-PG-2002, agency: Players Group) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's best team Orasi Ravenna and receives a Hoops Agents Serie B Nazionale Player of the Week award for round 3.
He had the game-high 24 points adding two rebounds and six assists for Ravenna in his team's victory, helping them to beat Faenza (#10, 1-2) 78-69. It allowed Ravenna to take over top position in the Italian Serie B Nazionale. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Ravenna already had a very good start winning all 3 without losing a single one. Dron has many years of experience at Ravenna, through which he has constantly improved. Dron has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (5th best: 18.7ppg), assists (6th best: 6.0apg) and averages solid 3.3spg,58.3% FGP and 57.1% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Aleksa Nikolic (205-PF-1999) of Benacquista Assicurazioni Latina Basket. He is naturalized Serbian forward in his first season at Latina. In the last game Nikolic recorded an impressive double-double of 31 points and 15 rebounds. Bad luck as Latina lost that game 93-108 to Roseto (3-0). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Nikolic is a newcomer at Latina and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.3ppg (#2). He also registered 10.0 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Lisandro Rasio (198-PF-1990) of Umana San Giobbe Chiusi (#5). Rasio scored 23 points and grabbed 13 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Chiusi, leading his team to a 92-76 easy win against Lucca (#17, 0-3). Chiusi needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in group B. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 1 lost game. Rasio has a great season in Italy. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.3ppg (6th best) and rebounds with 10.7rpg (#1 in league).
