Best players of Italian Serie A round 3 (by Hoops Agents)

International Swingman Riccardo Visconti (197-G/F-1998) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Unahotels Reggio Emilia and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 28-year old swingman had the game-high 24 points adding seven rebounds and two assists for Reggio Emilia in his team's victory, helping them to beat Tortona (1-2) 93-86. The game was not the highest importance and did not have significant influence on top of the standings. Reggio Emilia is placed at 11th position in Italian Serie A. Reggio Emilia is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 1-2 record. In the team's last game Visconti had a remarkable three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. It was one of impressive evenings for him as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Riccardo Visconti averages just after three games 11.7ppg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American point guard Colbey Ross (185-PG-1998) of Allianz Pallacanestro Trieste. Ross impressed basketball fans with 25 points and 8 assists. Bad luck as Trieste was edged by Varese (2-1) 85-84. The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Ross is one of the most experienced players at Trieste and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.0ppg (#4). He also recorded 6.3 assists per game.

The third best performed player last round was American Mike Tobey (213-C-1994) of Tezenis Scaligera Verona (#5). Tobey scored 17 points and grabbed 13 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Verona, leading his team to a 89-82 win against Scafati (#15, 0-3). Tobey has a great season in Italy. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 12.7rpg (#1 in league).
