COURTNEY WILLIAMS

Dike Napoli (Serie A1) agreed terms with 24-year old American guard Courtney Williams (173-94, college: S.Florida). She played last summer at Connecticut Sun (WNBA). Williams managed to play in three leagues in three countries last year. In 31 WNBA games she had 13.1ppg, 6.0rpg and 3.0apg. She ended the last season at Adana ASKI Mersin (KBSL) in league where in 7 games she recorded very impressive stats: 20.9ppg, 8.0rpg and 4.0apg. But the most of that year Williams spent at Perth Lynx in league. In 22 games she averaged remarkable 21.3ppg, 6.9rpg, 3.7apg and 2.5spg. She helped them to win the regular season and make it to the semifinals. Quite impressive season as she was voted Australiabasket.com All-Australian WNBL Player of the Year, Import Player of the Year and Guard of the Year.
Two years ago Williams was drafted by Phoenix Mercury (WNBA) in first round (8th overall).
She attended University of South Florida until 2016 and it will be her third season in pro basketball.
Williams represented USA at the World University Games in Gwangju (South Korea) three years ago.
She has played also professionally in Turkey (Girne Universitesi).
