Ragusa inks Federica Mazza

Federica Mazza

Passalacqua Ragusa (Serie A2) agreed terms with 23-year-old guard Federica Mazza (174cm-2001). She will still stay in Italy where she played most recently at Dinamo Sassari (Serie A1). Serie A1 was a little too high level for her, where in 12 games she had just 1.3ppg in the 2022-23 year. Serie A2 will be definitely a better match and she can see more playing time. She helped them to make it to the Italian Cup Semifinals. Mazza also played 7 games in Eurocup where she recorded only 1.1ppg and 1.0rpg in the 2022-23 year. The previous (2021-22) season she played at another Italian team (Serie A1).
She represented Italy at the World Cup U17 in Minsk (Belarus) six years ago. Mazza's team won Bronze and she had over 1 PPG.
Mazza has played for two other teams before: La Spezia and Battipaglia.
Her team reached the Italian Serie A2 Cup Final Four in 2021.
