Danfakha's double-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

Ivan Prato

17-year old Senegalese forward Bara Danfakha (206-F-2008) put on an amazing game in the last round for Pollini Brescia U20 team and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
He had a double-double of 18 points and 15 rebounds, while his team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team Sassari (#8, 0-7) with 38-point margin 96-58. Brescia is placed at 4th position in Italian league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Brescia will need more victories to improve their 4-3 record. In the team's last game Danfakha had a remarkable 100.0% from 2-point range. It was one of impressive evenings for him as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Bara Danfakha averages this season 8.4ppg and 8.1rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Emmanuel Tobou Mouafo (183-PG-2008) of Pallacanestro Trieste U20 team. He is a guard in his second season at Trieste. In the last game Tobou Mouafo recorded an impressive 25 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Trieste lost that game 68-86 to slightly higher-ranked Cantu (#3, 4-3). This loss caused Trieste to drop to 5th position in group B. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-4 record. Tobou Mouafo is well-known at Trieste and he already established his position as one of the team's leaders.

Third place about best performers goes to center Ivan Prato (210-C-2007) of Pallacanestro Varese U20 team (#5). Prato scored 21 points and grabbed 15 rebounds (!!!). Despite Prato's great performance the Varese lost 72-81 to slightly higher-ranked Reggio Emilia (#3, 5-2). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Varese ranking at the top of group A, however are very questionable as they have already lost 4 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Prato could help Varese to bring them higher in the standings. Prato has a great season in Italy. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.4ppg (6th best) and rebounds with 8.7rpg (7th best). He also has 1.4bpg and a FGP of 64.2%.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
