Vente re-signs at Empoli

Scotti Rosa Empoli (Serie A2) confirmed in their roster experienced 35-year old Latvian power forward Liga Vente (190cm-1991, college: Eckerd) for the upcoming 2026-27 season. She has played there for the last two seasons, helping them reach the group semifinals. In the 2025-26 season, she was named to Eurobasket.com All-Italian Serie A2 All-Bosmans Team and Eurobasket.com All-Italian Serie A2 Second Team.
Vente has also played professionally in Germany (Hannover), Spain (Picken Claret), and Italy (Faenza, Stabia, San Martino, Udine, and Crema).
Her team emerged victorious in the Italian Serie A2 Cup in 2022.
She graduated from Eckerd College in 2014 and it will be her 13th (hopefully lucky) season as a professional player. Vente played also for Colby County Community College for 2 years.
