ASD Milano Basket Stars (Serie A2) signed 32-year-old guard Francesca Melchiori (174cm-1993) for the 2026-27 season. She previously played for Autosped G BCC Derthona Basket Scrivia in Serie A1 for the past three years. Melchiori averaged 5.5ppg, 1.2rpg, 1.9apg, and 1.8spg in 17 games last season. She contributed to her former team reaching the cup final and league semifinals. The move to Serie A2 will provide her with more playing time and a better competitive environment.
Melchiori has spent her entire career in Italy playing for four other teams: Venezia, RO College, Crema, and Lucca.
Melchiori's team won the Italian A2 Group A Regular Season in 2024.
