Cook's double-double lands her Player of the Week award

American Guard Zutorya Cook (170-G) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's best team Peja 03 and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1.
She had a double-double of 24 points and 13 rebounds, while her team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team Trepca (#5, 0-1) with 58-point margin 102-44. Thanks to this victory Peja 03 moved-up to the 1st position in Kosovan Superliga. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Peja 03 won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Cook had a remarkable 76.9% from 2-point range. She turned to be Peja 03's top player in her first season with the team. Central Methodist University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Cook is in league's top in points (3rd best: 24.0ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 13.0rpg), assists (4th best: 4.0apg) and averages solid 4.0spg and 76.9% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Alexis Tucker (180-G/F-2001) of KBF Bashkimi Prizren. She is American swingman in her first season at Bashkimi. In the last game Tucker recorded an impressive double-double of 26 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Bashkimi lost that game 72-77 to Penza Peja (1-0). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Tucker is a newcomer at Bashkimi and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 26.0ppg (#2). She also registered 10.0 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Patience Wilcia (180-F) of league's second-best Penza Peja. Wilcia got into 30-points club by scoring 32 points in the last round. She went also for twelve rebounds . She was a key player of Penza Peja, leading her team to a 77-72 win against #4 ranked Bashkimi in a game of the week. Penza Peja has a very good start of the season. But there was just one game played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Wilcia also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. The season just started for Wilcia as she played only first game. But it already looks like she can be team's leader.
