Kosovan Liga e pare round 3 best performance: Kujtim Ujkani (by Hoops Agents)

Forward Kujtim Ujkani (201-F-1998, agency: BIG) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for KB Kosova Vushtrri, receiving a Hoops Agents Liga e pare Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 28-year old player had a double-double of 37 points and 18 rebounds, while his team outclassed Kosovari (#8, 1-2) with 47-point margin 112-65. Vushtrria is placed at 6th position in Kosovan Liga e pare. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Vushtrria will need more victories to improve their 2-1 record. In the team's last game Ujkani had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Vushtrria's top player in his first season with the team. Kujtim Ujkani has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 29.0ppg) and averages impressive 55.8% FGP and 45.5% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was young Besim Bytyqi (183-SG-2008) of league's second-best KB Bashkimi Prizren. Bytyqi had a very good evening with 41 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Bad luck as Bashkimi was edged by Gjakova (2-1) 102-98. The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Bytyqi is well-known at Bashkimi and is a proven leader in his second season with the team. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 31.3ppg (#1). He also recorded 4.3 assists per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was center Mal Syla (204-C-2006) of Vellaznimi Gjakove (#3). Syla showcased his all-around game by recording 20 points, 16 rebounds (!!!) and 4 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Vellaznimi, leading his team to a 102-98 win against #2 ranked Prizreni in a game of the week. Vellaznimi needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 1 lost game. Syla has a great season in Kosovo. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 5.0apg (9th best).
