Kosovan Superliga round 2 best performance: Zutorya Cook

American Guard Zutorya Cook (170-G) put on an amazing game in the last round for top-ranked Peja 03, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2.
The player had a double-double of 21 points and 14 rebounds, while her team beat Penza Peja (#2, 1-1) 68-61. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Peja 03 to consolidate first place in the Kosovan Superliga. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Peja 03 won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Cook had a remarkable 63.6% from 2-point range. She turned to be Peja 03's top player in her first season with the team. Former Central Methodist University star has very solid stats this year. Cook is league's best scorer averaging so far 22.5ppg. Cook is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 13.5rpg), assists (3rd best: 5.0apg) and averages impressive 5.5spg and 70.8% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was American Nyshae Weaver (183-F) of league's second-best Penza Peja. Weaver had a very good evening with 24 points and 7 rebounds. Bad luck as Penza Peja lost that game 61-68 to Peja 03 (2-0). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Weaver is a newcomer at Penza Peja, but is already one of team's top players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.5ppg (#5). She also registered 10.5 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was American swingman Alexis Tucker (180-G/F-2001) of KBF Bashkimi Prizren (#3). Tucker scored 18 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. She was a key player of Bashkimi, leading her team to a 92-49 easy win against #4 ranked Prishtina in a game of the week. Bashkimi needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 1 victory and 1 lost game. Tucker has a great season in Kosovo. After only 2 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.0ppg (3rd best) and rebounds with 8.5rpg (8th best).
