Meskonyte's double-double lands her Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

28-year old forward Gabija Meskonyte (181-F-1998) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Kibirkstis Vilnius and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 6.
She had a double-double of 22 points and 12 rebounds, while her team outclassed Liepaja/LSSS (#9, 1-3) with 42-point margin 98-56. Kibirkstis maintains the 2nd position in WBBL . They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Kibirkstis already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Meskonyte had a remarkable 100.0% from 2-point range. It's her second year at Kibirkstis and it's hard to imagine this team without her. Meskonyte has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in rebounds (8th best: 7.8rpg) and averages solid 53.3% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Enija Kivite (176-PG-2003) of TTT Riga. She is a guard in her 2nd season at TTT Riga. In the last game Kivite recorded an impressive double-double of 23 points and 12 rebounds. Of course she led TTT Riga to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked RSU (#8, 1-3) 111-48. This victory allowed TTT Riga to move up to 5th position in the standings. Her team lost some distance to top teams. But a 2-2 record is not bad and everything may still change. Kivite is well-known at TTT Riga and she already established her position as one of the team's leaders.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Taylor O'Brien (175-G-1999) of Klaipedos Neptunas (#3). O'Brien got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. She went also for eleven rebounds . She was a key player of Neptunas, leading her team to a 76-65 win against #4 ranked Aistes-LSMU in a game of the week. Neptunas needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 1 lost games. O'Brien has a great season in WBBL. After only 4 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.8ppg (3rd best).
