Vanagas' 35-point game gives him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

17-year old Latvian guard Kipras Vanagas (182-G-2009) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for V.Knasiaus KM-JUMEX U18 team and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
He had the game-high 35 points adding seven rebounds and four assists for VKKM as his team was edged out by the league's best team VKM (#3, 3-0) 82-80. VKKM moved-up to the 7th position in Lithuanian league. VKKM is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. But it was their 2nd lost game this season out of 3 games. In the team's last game Vanagas had a remarkable 81.3% from 2-point range. He turned to be VKKM's top player in his first season with the team. Vanagas has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (9th best: 21.5ppg) and averages solid 2.5spg and 62.5% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Joris Sinica (195-F-2009) of top-ranked Nacionaline KA U18 team. He is a forward in his first season at NKA. In the last game Sinica recorded an impressive 23 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course he led NKA to another comfortable win outscoring NKA-Perlas (1-2) 115-86. A very good start of the season for his team, which won so far all 3 games without any defeat. Sinica is a newcomer at NKA and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Vytautas Stuikys (200-F) of Zalgiris Kaunas U18 team (#4). Stuikys scored 21 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. He was a key player of Zalgiris, leading his team to a 78-66 win against Saule (2-1). Zalgiris needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 1 lost game. The season just started for Stuikys as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.
