Best players of Lithuanian NKL round 6

Talented Kajus Leliukas (204-F-2004) had an amazing evening in the last round for Sakiu Vytis and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents NKL Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 22-year old forward had a double-double of 26 points and 10 rebounds, while his team beat Zalgiris II (#10, 3-3) 104-92. Vytis is placed at 7th position in Lithuanian NKL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Vytis will need more victories to improve their 3-1 record. In the team's last game Leliukas had a remarkable 100.0% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Vytis, through which he has constantly improved. Leliukas has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (6th best: 19.0ppg) and averages solid 1.5bpg and 87.5% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American point guard Armin Cane (186-PG-1993) of Palangos Olimpas. Cane impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 13 points and 12 assists. Of course he led Palanga to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Stekas (#14, 2-4) 107-76. Palanga's 4th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost just one game this season, while they won 5 matches. Cane is a newcomer at Palanga and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. Stockton University alumni Cane played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.

The third best performed player last round was Rytis Sakaitis (193-PG-2004) of Neptunas-Akvaservis Klaipeda (#8). Sakaitis scored 29 points and passed 4 assists. He was a key player of Neptunas-Akv., leading his team to a 90-77 easy win against the lower-ranked Mazeikiai (#16, 1-5). Neptunas-Akv. needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 3 lost games. Sakaitis has a very solid season. In 6 games in Lithuania he scored 12.3ppg. He also has a FGP of 62.5% and 3PT: 50.0%.
