M.Ashdod signs Milica Jovanovic

Maccabi Bnot Ashdod (D1) signed experienced 35-year old Montenegrin international forward Milica Jovanovic (189cm-1989) for the upcoming 2025-26 season. She has played for the last four years at DVTK-Hun-Therm Miskolc in the Hungarian A Division. She managed to play in three leagues last year. The team played in three different competitions (!!!) that year, and she was exposed to basketball on different levels. In 21 A Division games, she had 7.4ppg, 4.0rpg, and 1.6apg. Jovanovic helped them to make it to the Hungarian League final after they ended the regular season as the second-best team. She also played 6 games in Euroleague where she recorded 8.0ppg, 4.0rpg, and 1.0apg. And finally, she contributed to 4 games in Eurocup where she averaged 8.3ppg, 5.3rpg, and 4.3apg.
Jovanovic has been a member of the Montenegrin international program for some years. She has regularly played for the Montenegrin senior team since 2008 and previously for the Under 20 National Team in 2009.
Jovanovic also represented Montenegro at the Games of the Small States of Europe in Malta two years ago. Her team won Gold and she had an average of almost 11 ppg.
She is quite an experienced player. Jovanovic has played also in France (Nantes), Greece (Panionios and Olympiacos), Italy, Serbia (Student), Spain (Sant Adria and Logrono), Sweden (Lulea Basket), Turkey (Besiktas, Botas, Adana ASKI Mersin, Orduspor and Izmit) and Montenegro (Buducnost).
She won the Hungarian League championship title in 2024. She was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Hungarian League Honorable Mention in 2022. It's very possible she may end her playing career at M.Ashdod.
