Lekovic left Valencia

Marija Lekovic

22-year-old Montenegrin international point guard Marija Lekovic (170cm-2003) left Valencia Basket Club (LF Endesa). In 17 games, she had 4.1ppg, 1.1rpg, 1.6apg, and 1.0spg this season. She helped them to make it to the Supercup final. She also played 10 games in Euroleague where she recorded just 2.7ppg and 2.1apg. Last season, she played at another Spanish team Perfumerias Avenida Salamanca. She also briefly played for Fenerbahce-Spor-Kulubu-Istanbul/7712">Fenerbahce Spor Kulubu Istanbul in the Turkish league and Fenerbahce (KBSL) in the Turkish league.
Lekovic has been a member of the Montenegrin international program for some years. She has regularly played for the Montenegrin senior team since 2018 and previously for the Under 20 National Team in 2023.
Lekovic also represented Montenegro at the Games of the Small States of Europe for Women in Andorra last year. Her team won Gold and she had a great performance.
She has played previously in Turkey and Montenegro (Buducnost).
Among many awards, she was voted to Eurobasket.com All-FIBA U20 Women's European Championship Honorable Mention back in 2023.
