The most exciting game of round 10 in the Liga Feminina took place in Barreiro. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked Sportiva (4-6) to eighth ranked GDESSA (4-6) 78-77 in the game for the sixth place. fired 23 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. The former international guard Marcia Costa (173-1989) chipped in 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. American-Brazilian guard Bella Nascimento (173-2002, college: William & Mary) produced 25 points for lost side. GDESSA moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Esgueira and Sportiva. GDESSA is looking forward to face CAB Madeira (#11) in Funchal in the next round where they are favorite. Sportiva will play at home against Galitos (#9) and is hoping to win this game.
Bottom-ranked Coimbroes managed to get a second victory. This time newly promoted Coimbroes won against fourth-ranked Sporting in Vila Nova de Gaia 77-68. Worth to mention a great performance of who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. Mariana Mafalda contributed with 22 points for the winners. The former international guard Simone Costa (178-1996, college: Georgia) replied with 19 points for Sporting. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Coimbroes (2-8) moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with CAB Madeira. Sporting at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fourth position with four games lost. Coimbroes will play against higher ranked Esgueira (#7) in Aveiro in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Sporting will play at home against Sanjoanense and hopes to get back on the winning track.

At the losing side Taylor Langan responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. Undefeated Q.Lombos (10-0) have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain first position with a perfect record of 10 victories in a row. Loser CAB Madeira keeps the eleventh place with eight games lost. They share the position with Coimbroes. Q.Lombos will meet league's second-placed Imortal in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. CAB Madeira will play against GDESSA (#8) and hope to secure a win.

Rest of the games of round 10 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Benfica crushed Galitos in Lisbon 91-58. Barcelos beat Esgueira at home 68-60. Imortal won against Sanjoanense on the opponent's court 90-80.

There was no surprise in Aveiro where 9th ranked Galitos (3-7) were crushed by third ranked Benfica (8-2) 91-58 on Monday. Benfica outrebounded Galitos 43-25 including 17 on the offensive glass. Benfica looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Polish forward Zuzanna Puc (188-1997, college: Utah) had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Brazilian center Leticia Soares (188-1997, college: San Diego) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Cuban center Nahomis Vargas-Hardy (188-2003) responded with 24 points and 5 rebounds and Serbian swingman Milica Ivanovic (178-1988, college: Catawba) scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Benfica have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains third position with 8-2 record having just two points less than leader Q.Lombos. Galitos lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Sanjoanense. Benfica will meet at home Barcelos (#5) in the next round. Galitos will play against Sportiva (#6) in Ponta Delgada and hope to secure a win.
