Paris Basketball Association are champions of France NF2. On Sunday May 3 at the NF2 Final Four, the Parisians delivered two commanding performances across the weekend to claim the 2025-26 Nationale Féminine 2 title, beating IE - Étoile Sportive Gimontoise BB 68-55 in the final to cap a memorable campaign.
The road to the title began on Saturday evening. Facing Trégueux Langueux Basket Armor 22 in the second semifinal, Paris Basketball Association produced their most complete performance of the weekend, winning convincingly 76-57 in a match that was never seriously in doubt. The Parisians showed the defensive discipline and offensive fluency that had characterised their season, and gave a clear signal to everyone remaining in the competition that they were the team to beat.
In the other semifinal, IE - Étoile Sportive Gimontoise BB edged out Carqueiranne Var Basket 51-42 in what proved to be a more physical and attritional contest. The club from the Gers department, carrying the "IE" designation denoting an inserted entry into the competition, held firm when it mattered and earned the right to contest the final.
Sunday's decider at 15h30 brought the two IE-affiliated finalists face to face for the title. Paris Basketball Association were in control from the opening exchanges, and despite Gimontoise's resilience the same collective grit that had seen them through the semifinal the Parisians were simply a cut above. A 68-55 final score tells the story of a team that could turn up the intensity when required, and that had the depth and quality to sustain it across a full weekend of condensed basketball.
Third place went to Trégueux Langueux Basket Armor 22, who bounced back from their semifinal defeat to overcome Carqueiranne Var Basket 69-54 in the bronze medal match at 13h15, a result that showed the Breton side's character after the disappointment of the previous evening.
For Paris Basketball Association, the title means promotion to NF1 the third tier of French women's basketball and the chance to measure themselves at a higher level next season. It is a significant step forward for a club that will now compete in French women's basketball's national amateur pyramid at its most competitive level.
