Raimundo's 18 points and 8 assists give her Player of the Week award

32-year old point guard Gabriela Raimundo (167-PG-1993) had an amazing evening in the last round for Esgueira Aveiro and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 11.
She had the game-high 18 points adding seven rebounds and eight assists for Esgueira in her team's victory, helping them to crush Coimbroes (#12, 2-9) with 17-point margin 87-70. Esgueira maintains the 7th position in Portuguese Liga Feminina. Esgueira is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 5-6 record. In the team's last game Raimundo had a remarkable three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. She has many years of experience at Esgueira, through which she has constantly improved. Raimundo has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (5th best: 18.0ppg), assists (2nd best: 7.3apg) and averages solid 4.3spg and 52.6% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Micaela Kelly (168-G-1998) of league's second-best Imortal TCars. She is American guard in her first season at Imortal. In the last game Kelly recorded an impressive 24 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Bad luck as Imortal lost that game 74-87 to league's leader Q.Lombos (#1, 11-0). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Imortal still maintains its place in the top 2 of the standings, even despite this loss. It was just her team's 2nd loss this season, while they won 9 other games. Kelly is a newcomer at Imortal and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.5ppg (#4). Her other stats are also decent: 6.6rpg and 6.7apg.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Schekinah Bimpa (180-F-1998) of A.D. Sanjoanense (#10). Bimpa scored 15 points and grabbed 18 rebounds (!!!). Despite Bimpa's great performance the Sanjoanense lost 67-69 to the higher-ranked Sporting (#4, 7-4). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. Bimpa has individually a great season in Portugal. After 11 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.7ppg (2nd best) and rebounds with 12.8rpg (#1 in league). Bimpa attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on her way to pro basketball.
