Golding's double-double lands her Player of the Week award

27-year old Canadian Lauren Golding (183-SF-1998) had a great game in the last round for S.C. Coimbroes/Rebau Vila Nova de Gaia and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 14.
She had a double-double of 24 points and 15 rebounds, while her team crushed Galitos (3-11) with 19-point margin 76-57. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Coimbroes is placed at 10th position in Portuguese Liga Feminina. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 11 games and recorded just three victories. In the team's last game Golding had a remarkable 58.3% from 2-point range. She has many years of experience at Coimbroes, through which she has constantly improved. York University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Golding is in league's top in rebounds (9th best: 8.5rpg). Worth to mention Golding played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped her get the job in pro basketball.

Second best performed player last round was Micaela Kelly (168-G-1998) of Imortal TCars. She is American guard in her first season at Imortal. In the last game Kelly recorded an impressive 18 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. It was enough for Imortal to edge slightly lower-ranked Sporting (#4, 7-6) by 5 points 82-77. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Imortal consolidated its place in top 3 of the standings. Her team's 11-3 record is not bad at all. Kelly is a newcomer at Imortal and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.7ppg (#3). Her other stats are also decent: 6.4rpg and 6.5apg.

Third place about best performers goes to Victoria Reynolds (178-SF-1997) of Esgueira Aveiro (#8). Reynolds scored 23 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. She was a key player of Esgueira, leading her team to a 75-70 win against the lower-ranked CAB Madeira (#12, 2-10). Esgueira needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 7 victories and 7 lost games. Reynolds has a very solid season. In 14 games in Portugal she scored 13.5ppg. She also has 5.4rpg and a FGP of 53.4%.
