Liga Feminina newcomer Sporting Clube de Portugal Lisboa added 28-year old Brazilian ex-international forward Nany Carvalho (188cm-1997, college: Kansas) to their roster. She played last season at Sao Jose Basketball in Brazilian Paulista, where she recorded 12.2ppg, 7.0rpg, 2.9apg, and 1.4spg in 14 games. Nany Carvalho was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Brazilian Paulista League Honorable Mention for her impressive season. She also played for another Brazilian team, Cerrado, in Brazil.
Carvalho was also a member of the Brazilian international program for some years. She played for the Brazilian Senior National Team between 2016 and 2022 and previously for the Under 18 National Team back in 2014.
Carvalho is a highly experienced player. Thanks to Carvalho's pro career, she managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Latin America, and North America) in four different countries. She has played professionally in Belarus (Gorizont), Brazil (SESI Araraquara Basquete and Campinas), Spain (Zamora), and Portugal (GDESSA/Barreiro). Carvalho was also selected to Eurobasket.com Portuguese League All-Domestic Players Team in 2025.
Her team emerged victorious in the Paulista League Regular Season in 2023.
She graduated from the University of Kansas in 2020 and this will be her sixth season as a professional player. Carvalho also played for Highland Community College in Kansas for 2 years.
