Banica number one in Romanian Liga I for round 4 (by Hoops Agents)

Forward David Banica (195-F-2005) had a great game in the last round for top-ranked CSU Stiinta Bucharesti, receiving a Hoops Agents Liga I Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 21-year old player had a double-double of 29 points and 13 rebounds, while his team crushed Voluntari 2 (#3, 2-2) with 22-point margin 88-66. It allowed Stiinta to consolidate first place in the Romanian Liga I. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Stiinta already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Banica had a remarkable 85.7% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Stiinta, through which he has constantly improved. David Banica has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (5th best: 22.0ppg) and averages impressive 2.3spg and 69.4% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Sebastian Boghean (193-PG-2008) of league's second-best CS Valcea 1924 Rm Valcea. Boghean had a very good evening with a double-double of 23 points and 10 rebounds. Of course he led Valcea to another comfortable win outscoring Targu Jiu (#6, 0-4) 111-57. Valcea's second position in Group A3 has not changed. His team's 3-1 record is not bad at all. Boghean is well-known at Valcea and is a proven leader in his second season with the team.

Third on the list of top players last round was center Raul Mitrache (200-C-2007) of FC Arges Pitesti (#4). Mitrache scored 20 points and grabbed 14 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Pitesti, leading his team to a 87-85 win against #3 ranked Cluj CSU in a game of the week. Pitesti needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in Group A4. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 2 lost games. Mitrache has a great season in Romania. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 11.5rpg (2nd best).
