Donovan Ivory gets MVP of the Week award for Romanian Liga Nationala (by Hoops Agents)

American Donovan Ivory (198-G-2001) had a very impressive game in the last round for CS Valcea 1924 Rm Valcea and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 25-year old guard had a double-double of 23 points and 16 rebounds, while his team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team Galati (#14, 0-5) with 30-point margin 97-67. Valcea maintains the 3rd position in Romanian Liga Nationala. They are still close to the very top. Valcea would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 4-1 record. Ivory turned to be Valcea's top player in his first season with the team. University of Southern Mississippi graduate has very impressive stats this year. Ivory is in league's top in points (7th best: 19.0ppg) and averages solid 77.3% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American guard MJ Randolph (193-G-1999) of BC CSU Sibiu. Randolph impressed basketball fans with 38 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Bad luck as Sibiu was edged by the higher-ranked Craiova (#4, 3-1) 107-105. This loss caused Sibiu to drop to 10th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 2-3 record. Randolph is well-known by Sibiu fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 27.4ppg (#1). He also recorded 4.0 assists per game. Florida A&M University alumni Randolph played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.

The third best performed player last round was another Sibiu's star - Mali Fousseyni Traore (198-F-2002). Traore got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. He went also for eleven rebounds . Despite Traore's great performance the BC CSU Sibiu lost 105-107 to the higher-ranked Craiova (#4, 3-1). But his team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates. The chances of Sibiu ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 3 games, recording just two victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Traore could help Sibiu to bring them higher in the standings. Traore has a great season in Romania. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 26.2ppg (2nd best) and rebounds with 12.8rpg (#1 in league).
