The game was mostly controlled by Cluj Napoca. Oradea managed to win third quarter 26-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Cluj Napoca made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for international point guard Daron Russell (180-1998, college: Maryland) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points and 8 assists. Australian swingman Mitch Creek (196-1992) helped adding 27 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was the former international point guard Kris Richard (195-1989, college: Tulane) with 18 points and Dutch power forward Emmanuel Nzekwesi (203-1997, college: ORU) scored 16 points. Four Oradea players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.

It looked good early as Dinamo took a 14-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Craiova took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 4 points. They made 30-of-35 charity shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Craiova forced 20 Dinamo turnovers. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Dinamo was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Sam Sessoms (182-1999, college: Coppin St.) who led the winners and scored 32 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. His fellow American import forward DeAndre Dishman (198-1998, college: MTSU) accounted for 23 points and 12 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winning side. American guard Marcus Lewis (196-1992, college: EKU) came up with 22 points and Guinean-American power forward Ousmane Drame (206-1993, college: Quinnipiac) added 13 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Dinamo in the defeat. Five Craiova and four Dinamo players scored in double figures.
