Final, game 4: Telge Energi - Solna Vikings 54 - 66 Solna Vikings celebrated in game No.4 of the big final defending the Damligan championship title. The Vikings won in the first, failed in the second match and after that grabbed two consecutive victories ending the final series with 3-1. Elisabeth Egnell (185-F-87, college: Boston Coll.) once again top-scored for the winners, this time with 19 points. As a reminder, in Game No.3 she drained impressive 27 pts. Jurgita Kausaite (178-G/F-70, college: Emporia St.) followed her last night netting 16, while Katarina Andersson delivered 12 pts. Visitors took control on their rivals from the early beginning. They played tough at the defensive end letting Telge Energi to score just 10 points in the first 10 minutes (10-17). The hosts improved later, but the Vikings once again shined making 11-20 in third period (35-48). Telge Energy scored 19 more point until the end, but on the other side, Elisabeth Egnell and her teammates responded with 18 celebrating the second consecutive title! The hosts got 18 points from Louice Halvarsson (189-C-89) in this game, while Stefanie Yderstrom (172-G-90) contributed with 12. Hanna Bouldwin (180) was the last one with double-digits in scoring for Telge - 10 pts. Sola Vikings have pretty impressive last few seasons in Damligan. In 2005 they reached play-off semifinals and next year won the championship title. In 2007 they once again were stopped in the semis after what they grabbed two more trophies in Swedish elite division.
