Townsend's 22 points and 9 assists give her Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

24-year old American guard Grace Townsend (165-G-2002) had a very impressive game in the last round for KFUM Ostersund Basket and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
She had the game-high 22 points adding nine assists for Ostersund in her team's victory, helping them to outclass AIK Basket (#9, 1-4) with 31-point margin 97-66. Ostersund maintains the 6th position in Swedish Damligan. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost two games earlier this season. Ostersund will need more victories to improve their 3-2 record. It's Townsend's second year at Ostersund and it's hard to imagine this team without her.

Second best performed player last round was Sandra Frau-Garcia (170-G-2003) of Onsala Pirates BBK Kungsbacka. She is Spanish guard in her first season at Onsala. In the last game Frau-Garcia recorded an impressive double-double of 17 points and 12 rebounds. Bad luck as Onsala lost that game 71-78 to slightly higher-ranked Sodertalje (4-1). This loss caused Onsala to drop to 5th position in the standings. It was just her team's 1st loss this season, while they won 4 other games. Frau-Garcia is a newcomer at Onsala and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Ostersund's star - forward Elsa Svensson (180-F-2004). Svensson showcased her all-around game by recording 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. She was another key player of KFUM Ostersund Basket, helping her team with a 97-66 easy win against the lower-ranked AIK Basket (#9, 1-4). Ostersund needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 2 lost games. Svensson has a great season in Sweden. After only 5 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 3.6apg (9th best).
