Davis number one in Turkey BSL for round 1 (by Hoops Agents)

American Guard Jonathan Davis (193-G-2002) had an amazing evening in the last round for Glint Korfez Basket Kocaeli, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1.
The 24-year old player had a double-double of 31 points and 12 rebounds, while his team beat Erokspor (#14, 0-1), the league's bottom-ranked team 88-79. Glint Korfez is placed at 4th position in Turkish BSL. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Glint Korfez won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Davis had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Glint Korfez's top player in his first season with the team. Former University of Wisconsin star has very solid stats this year. Davis is league's best scorer averaging so far 31.0ppg. Davis is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 12.0rpg) and averages impressive 66.7% FGP and 75.0% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Brandon Taylor (178-PG-1994, agency: Octagon Europe) of Bursaspor Basketbol. Taylor had a very good evening with a double-double of 20 points and 11 assists. Bad luck as Bursaspor lost that game 76-82 to Trabzonspor (1-0). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Taylor is a newcomer at Bursaspor, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.0ppg (#8). His other stats are also decent: 5.0rpg and 11.0apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was American swingman Khyri Thomas (191-F/G-1996) of Aliaga Petkimspor Izmir (#5). Thomas showcased his all-around game by recording 21 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Petkimspor, leading his team to a 85-81 win against Denizli (#13, 0-1). Petkim has a very good start of the season. But there was just one game played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Thomas also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. The season just started for Thomas as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.

The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
