Deans' double-double lands her TKBL Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

25-year old American guard Kirsten Deans (173-G-2001, agency: LBM Management) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked TED Ankara Kolejliler and receives a Hoops Agents TKBL Player of the Week award for round 4.
She got a double-double of 27 points and 10 assists, while her team beat Mersin G. (#4, 2-2) 93-81. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. TED Ankara maintains the 2nd position in Turkish league. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but TED Ankara already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Deans had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 10 attempts. She turned to be TED Ankara's top player in her first season with the team. The University of Mississippi graduate has very impressive stats this year. Deans is in league's top in points (2nd best: 25.0ppg) and averages solid 42.3% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Iyana Moore (173-G-2003) of Mersin Bsb Gelisim. She is American guard in her first season at Mersin G.. In the last game Moore recorded an impressive 30 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Mersin G. lost that game 81-93 to league's leader TED Ankara (#2, 4-0). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Mersin G. still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. Her team's 2-2 record is not bad at all. Moore is a newcomer at Mersin G. and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.3ppg (#3). She also registered 4.5 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Asia Strong (188-F-2000) of Gallardo Spor Kulubu (#3). Strong scored 24 points and grabbed 15 rebounds (!!!). Despite Strong's great performance the Gallardo lost 61-69 to #1 ranked Kirklareli. But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Gallardo needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 2 victories and 1 lost game. Strong has a great season in Turkey. After only 3 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.0ppg (5th best) and rebounds with 12.7rpg (3rd best). Strong attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on her way to pro basketball.
