FINALRivne - Dnipro 50-71Dnipro celebrated Superleague title. They knocked down Rivne on the road to sweep the championship series. Dnipro led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Point guard Maksym Zakurdaev (196-1993) notched a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international forward Volodymyr Koniev (203-1989) supported him with 15 points and 4 assists. The game was mostly controlled by Kyiv Basket. Cherkasy managed to win third quarter 31-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Kyiv Basket made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Kyiv Basket outrebounded Cherkasy 39-19 including a 26-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Kyiv Basket shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 56.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The former international point guard Pavlo Burenko (184-1990, agency: BIG) scored 27 points and 9 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Brantley Bynum (196-1994, college: SF State) chipped in 25 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. American forward Eric Boone (188-1999, college: NCCU) responded with 21 points and 8 assists and power forward Oleksandr Tishchenko (206-1989, agency: BIG) scored 18 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Prometey - Dnipro 64:65 Dnipro clinched 2023/24 Cup title in Ukraine beating Prometey 65-64. The undefeated team in the Ukrainian League grabbed a 16-8 lead at the start, whilst Prometey replied with a 22-14 run in the second period. Dnipro once again ensured the lead with a 27-16 surge in the third quarter. Prometey on the other side closed the game with a final 18-8 rally to reduce to 64-65. Maksym Zakurdaev (196-PG-1993) stepped up with 22 points and Volodymyr Koniev (203-F-1989) netted 9.
