The guests were already 14 points ahead at halftime and as many as 17 after three quarters before a 26-15 last quarter charge of Rivne cut the lead to 80-74 at the end of the game. It was a great evening for the former international center Andriy Agafonov (208-1986) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Igor Klimov (190-2001, agency: BIG) helped adding 17 points. The best for the losing side was American guard CJ Williamson (196-2000, college: UAH) with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import forward Roderick Brown (201, college: Tarleton St.) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

The standout forward Stanislav Tymofeyenko was named the Player of the Year of the championship-winning the Dnipro. He received multiple other awards, was voted the Finals MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, Domestic Player of the Year, Forward of the Year, and was selected to the First Team, Domestic Players Team and Defensive Team. Tymofeyenko helped Tymofeyenko's team have an undefeated season as the Dnipro was not challenged in the league with a perfect 27 to 0 in the regular season. His excellent performance assisted his team in beating Kyiv Basket 2 to 1 in the final series. Tymofeyenko was previously named to Honorable Mention three times, Defensive Player of the Year back in 2015 and 2016, chosen to the First Team six times, Forward of the Year four times, Domestic Player of the Year four times in the past and Finals MVP last year.
