Rulyova is back at Turan

Turan Turkestan (D1) signed experienced 40-year old Ukrainian ex-international power forward Ganna Rulyova (183cm-87kg-1986, agency: BIG) for the new 2026-27 season. It is actually her comeback to Turkestan as she has played here before. She has played for the last two seasons at Tigers in the D1. In 26 Kazakhstan games, she had very impressive stats: 17.2ppg, 13.7rpg (#2 in the league), 4.7apg, and 1.4spg last season. She helped them to win the League title (five times) (seven times). Quite an impressive season as she was voted Asia-Basket.com All-Kazakhstan League Player of the Year, Import Player of the Year, and Asia-Basket.com All-Kazakhstan League Defensive Player of the Year.
Rulyova was also a member of the Ukrainian international program for some years. She played for Ukrainian Senior National Team between 2008 and 2022 and previously for the Under 20 National Team in 2006.
Rulyova is a highly experienced player who has played in seven different countries across three continents during her career. She has competed in Europe, Asia, and North America, with previous stints in Cyprus, Israel, Poland, Ukraine, Armenia, and the ECBL. Rulyova, who is nearing retirement age, may finish her playing career at Turan.
