Zavidna number one in Ukraine Superleague for round 1

International Forward Daria Zavidna (185-F-1993) had an amazing evening in the last round for top-ranked Budivelnyk Kyiv, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1.
The 33-year old player was the main contributor (27 points, nine rebounds and three assists) to her team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Vinnytsia (#4, 0-2) with 37-point margin 97-60. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Budivelnyk to consolidate first place in the Ukrainian Superleague. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Budivelnyk won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Zavidna had a remarkable 91.7% from 2-point range. It's her second year at Budivelnyk and it's hard to imagine this team without her. Daria Zavidna has solid league stats. She is league's best scorer averaging so far 25.5ppg and leads league in rebounds with 9.0rpg. Zavidna is in league's top in assists (3rd best: 4.0apg) and averages impressive 77.8% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Violetta Ostapchuk (170-F-2005) of Vinnytskiye Blyskavky Molniy. Ostapchuk had a very good evening with 26 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Vinnytsia lost that game 60-97 to Budivelnyk (2-0). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Ostapchuk is one of the most experienced players at Vinnytsia and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.5ppg (#2). She also registered 7.5 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Budivelnyk's star - international forward Anzhelika Liashko (175-F-2000). Liashko showcased her all-around game by recording 17 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists in the last round. She was another key player of Budivelnyk Kyiv, helping her team with a 97-60 easy win against #4 ranked Vinnytsia in a game of the week. Budivelnyk has a very good start of the season. But there were just 2 games played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Liashko also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. Liashko has a great season in Ukraine. After only 2 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 11.5ppg (4th best), rebounds with 6.0rpg (3rd best) and assists with 7.5apg (best passer).
