Mikhailov's double-double lands him Higher League Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

23-year old forward Maxim Mikhailov (198-F-2003) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked BK Volyn and receives a Hoops Agents Higher League Player of the Week award for round 2.
He had a double-double of 29 points and 11 rebounds, while his team crushed Che-Basket (#6, 1-3) with 18-point margin 86-68. Volyn maintains the 2nd position in Ukrainian Higher League. The season is still on an early stage, but Volyn already had a very good start winning all 3 without losing a single one. Mikhailov has many years of experience at Volyn, through which he has constantly improved. Mikhailov has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (3rd best: 22.3ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 10.3rpg) and averages solid 60.6% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Danylo Stryzhak (189-G-2007) of MBC-Niko Basket Mykolaiv. He is a guard in his first season at Niko Basket 2. In the last game Stryzhak recorded an impressive 30 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course Niko Basket cruised to a 93-86 relatively comfortable win over CHAYKA (1-2). The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Stryzhak is a newcomer at Niko Basket and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.3ppg (#2). He also registered 5.5 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Kevin Major (190-G-1997) of CHAYKA-VMSU Odessa (#3). Major scored 29 points and passed 6 assists. Despite Major's great performance the CHAYKA lost 86-93 to Niko Basket 2 (#5, 1-3). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Major has individually a great season in Ukraine. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 25.0ppg (best scorer) and assists with 4.3apg (2nd best).
