Benson's 20 points and 8 rebounds give him Player of the Week award

American Forward Ja'Von Benson (201-F) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Rivne-OSHVSM and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
He had the game-high 20 points adding eight rebounds for Rivne in his team's victory, helping them to beat Niko Basket (#10, 1-4) 93-84. Rivne is placed at 2nd position in Ukrainian league. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Rivne will need more victories to improve their 5-2 record. Benson turned to be Rivne's top player in his first season with the team. The University of Mississippi graduate has very impressive stats this year. Benson is in league's top in points (7th best: 16.8ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 11.6rpg) and averages solid 2.8bpg,63.9% FGP and 50.0% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Ilya Kabatsiura (198-F-1996) of BC Kyiv Basket. He is a forward in his first season at Kyiv Basket. In the last game Kabatsiura recorded an impressive double-double of 26 points and 12 rebounds. Bad luck as Kyiv Basket lost that game 70-75 to the lower-ranked Hoverla (#9, 1-4). This loss caused Kyiv Basket to drop to 3rd position in the standings. His team's 5-2 record is not bad at all. Kabatsiura is a newcomer at Kyiv Basket and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Zach Loveday (213-F/C) of Khmelnytskyi (#6). Loveday scored 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds (!!!). Despite Loveday's great performance the Khmelnytskyi lost 64-75 to slightly higher-ranked K.Sokoly (#5, 4-3). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The season just started for Loveday as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.
