British SLB round 6 best performance: Al-Amir Dawes (by Hoops Agents)

American Guard Al-Amir Dawes (188-G-2001) had an amazing evening in the last round for Caledonia Gladiators, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 25-year old player was the main contributor (22 points, five rebounds and six assists) to his team's victory, helping them to edge out Manchester (#1, 2-4) 94-92. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Gladiators was forced-out from the top positions in British SLB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost two games earlier this season. Caledonia will need more victories to improve their 3-2 record. In the team's last game Dawes had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He turned to be Gladiators's top player in his first season with the team. Former Seton Hall University star has very solid stats this year. Dawes is in league's top in points (6th best: 16.2ppg) and assists (8th best: 4.0apg).

The second best player in last round's games was young American Keon Thompson (185-G-2003) of league's leader Manchester Basketball. Thompson had a very good evening with 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Bad luck as Manchester was edged by the lower-ranked Caledonia G. (#4, 3-2) 94-92. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Manchester still maintains its place as the top team in the standings, even despite this loss. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 2-4 record. Thompson is a newcomer at Manchester, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Pat Robinson III (190-G-1999, agency: Bell Basketball) of league's top team Liverpool Basketball. Robinson III scored 25 points and passed 4 assists. Despite Robinson III's great performance the Liverpool lost 89-90 to #2 ranked Bristol Flyers. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. Robinson III has a great season in United Kingdom. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.3ppg (best scorer).
