British WNBL D1 round 6 best performance: Janice Monakana

International Forward Janice Monakana (183-F-1995) had an amazing evening in the last round for London Cavaliers, receiving a Hoops Agents WNBL D1 Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 31-year old player had a double-double of 36 points and 16 rebounds, while her team beat Milton Keynes (#9, 2-4) 102-95. London C. maintains the 3rd position in British WNBL D1. They are still close to the very top. London C. would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 4-1 record. It's Monakana's second year at London C. and it's hard to imagine this team without her. Former The University of Toledo star has very solid stats this year. Of course she led Worcester W to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked East London P. (#7, 2-2) 73-49. This victory allowed Worcester W to move up to 4th position in the standings. Her team's 3-3 record is not bad at all. Montgomery is well-known at Worcester W and is a proven leader in her second season with the team. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.0ppg (#6). Her other stats are also decent: 10.5rpg and 4.2apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was Kaiya Bateman of league's top team Anglia Ruskin University. Bateman scored 19 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. She was a key player of Anglia Ruskin U., leading her team to a 75-48 easy win against Bristol AF (#12, 0-5). Anglia Ruskin U. started extremely well this year. They recorded 6 victories without losing a single game. Bateman turns to be one of the very best players in the league while she is also a leader of the top team having her eyes on the championship title. Bateman has a very solid season. In 6 games in United Kingdom she scored 14.5ppg. She also has 6.5rpg, 3.3spg and a FGP of 65.1%.
