Svitlana Poliantseva gets MVP of the Week award for WBBL 2

Talented Svitlana Poliantseva (181-F-2007) had an amazing evening in the last round for BK Frank Ivano-Frankivsk and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents L2 Player of the Week award for round 1.
The 19-year old forward had the game-high 23 points adding six assists for Frankivsk in her team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Tartu U. (#10, 0-2) with 57-point margin 93-36. Frankivsk is placed at 3rd position in WBBL L2. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Frankivsk will need more victories to improve their 2-1 record. In the team's last game Poliantseva had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 7 attempts. She turned to be Frankivsk's top player in her first season with the team. Poliantseva has impressive league stats. She is league's best scorer averaging so far 20.7ppg. Poliantseva is in league's top in assists (6th best: 3.7apg) and averages solid 5.3spg and 53.8% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young forward Mailis Pokk (186-F-1992) of Tartu Ulikool/CHK Kalev. Pokk impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 26 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Tartu U. lost that game 62-67 to Frankivsk (2-1). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Pokk is a newcomer at Tartu U. and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was another Frankivsk's star - Olha Alekseichyk (166-PG-1992, agency: Olsta). Alekseichyk showcased her all-around game by recording 27 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists in the last round. She was another key player of BK Frank Ivano-Frankivsk, helping her team with a 67-62 win against Tartu U. (#10, 0-2). Frankivsk needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 1 lost game. Alekseichyk has a great season in WBBL.
