Naidjonova's 39-point game gives her WABA 2 Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

17-year old point guard Jelizaveta Naidjonova (176-PG-2009) put on an amazing game in the last round for Daugavpils Universitate and receives a Hoops Agents L2 Player of the Week award for round 2.
She had the game-high 39 points adding three rebounds and five assists for Daugavpils in her team's victory, helping them to crush Oaks (#7, 1-2) with 24-point margin 93-69. Daugavpils maintains the 6th position in WBBL . Daugavpils is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 1-1 record. In the team's last game Naidjonova had a remarkable 70.6% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 7 attempts. It's her second year at Daugavpils and it's hard to imagine this team without her. Naidjonova has impressive league stats. She is league's best scorer averaging so far 36.0ppg. Naidjonova is in league's top in assists (4th best: 4.5apg) and averages solid 6.5spg and 64.5% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Anastassia Froljonok (185-SF-2007) of Tartu Ulikool/CHK Kalev. She is Latvian in her first season at Tartu U.. In the last game Froljonok recorded an impressive double-double of 22 points and 19 rebounds. Bad luck as Tartu U. lost that game 61-75 to Oaks (1-2). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Froljonok is a newcomer at Tartu U. and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to Justina Oficerovaite (186-SF-2002) of KK Atletas Kaunas (#3). Oficerovaite scored 27 points. She was a key player of Atletas, leading her team to a 83-69 easy win against Riga Kadetes (#8, 1-3). Atletas started extremely well this year. They recorded 3 victories without losing a single game. Oficerovaite turns to be one of the very best players in the league while she is also a leader of the top team having her eyes on the championship title. Oficerovaite has a great season in WBBL. After only 3 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.0ppg (4th best).
